CLIMATE UPDATE – FEBRUARY 2012
According to data provided by the Bureau of Meteorology (BOM), the national outlook for February 2012 to April 2012 shows the following:
- Warmer days are more likely over southeastern Australia
- Cooler days and nights are more likely over northwestern Australia
- Warmer nights are more likely over northeastern and southwestern Australia
The drivers of this outlook are a warmer than normal Indian Ocean and cool conditions in the tropical Pacific associated with La Niña.
