CLIMATE UPDATE – SUMMER 2012 / 2013

The national outlook for December 2012 to February 2013 indicates that a wetter than normal season is more likely for parts of Western Australia, southeast Queensland and eastern New South Wales and a drier than normal season is more likely for the northern half of Queensland.

This outlook is mostly a result of warmer than normal waters in the Indian Ocean, while warmer than normal waters in the Pacific Ocean had less of an impact.
